Gyration Air Mouse Elite Wireless Mouse for In-Air/Desk Use

So far, I must say that it is brilliant. I use this mouse with my laptop and the fact that I do not need access to a smooth surface means that I can now get away from my touchpad where ever I am. It does take a little bit of getting used to. I did expect it to have a more similar action to that of the Nintendo controller.I have also found my dongle to be a little bit on the large side (!) for a laptop computer, so this is clearly designed with a desktop in mind, however I can't consider this to be a fault as I deliberately chose the slightly larger desktop model.There are an array of additional buttons on top which do not seem to do anything and do not have any instructions as to how to change this. For this, the mouse loses a star. Despite this, I would still recommend it.

I have persevered for months now with this mouse. I works fine then out of the blue just stops. If I had not got a wheel on my logitech keyboard I would have been in trouble. Like another user says what does one do? No way of getting it replaced and who is to say it would not have happened again. Rarely do I have a problem with any product sold through Amazon but sadly this is one. Today I have tried everything to get it working and in the end suceeded but for sure the problem lies internally. I feel all of us with this problem should have access to a refund or assurance from Gyration itself the fault has been rectified.

I have had this for some time now. I really did struggle with it at first. The charging stool is not very good, you have to make very sure that it is settled. All I need is to move the cursor and click on it, right or left and scroll. I tried the Motion Tools which I found impressive but not for me. I eventually deleted it. I have experienced the cursor drifting to the right a few times. I tried rebooting but that did no good. I have since found that a full recharge seems to cure it. Now it works most, if not, all the time though it could be more responsive.

I got this for in-air use with my computer/tv combo. Setup is straightforward and it comes with a neat charging dock, which works nicely. The mouse does everything you'd expect it to - it's a nice touch that it can be used in-air and on a desk. The desk mode is optical, and works fine on every surface I've used it on so far.Range is good enough for my flat - I haven't run out of range yet.In-Air mode is flawed. You have to pull a trigger in order to tell the mouse to move. I understand why this is done, but it makes moving and clicking quite difficult. They should probably have made the buttons easier to click also. Additionally, there are programmable buttons on the top of the mouse, which seem to come unprogrammed, and with no instructions explaining how to do so.It works, and will probably work for presentations, etc, but it could be better.

I have been looking for a reliable and well made rechargeable mouse and the Gyration Air Mouse Elite Wireless Mouse appeared to fit the bill. It looks and feels well made but reliable it is not. It is too easy to think that the mouse is correctly placed in the docking unit when it isn't and then does not recharge. My mouse had died after four months and I have no way to return it. This is not a cheap mouse and four months life is ridiculous. Better to buy cheap ones and dump them when they fail.

I bought this air mouse back in July and was at first very impressed with the product but before long and complaints for one its a shame is doesnt have a wired charging method to allow you to use it wire while its charging rather then having to dock the mouse in he mouse charging dock, issue two was that the dock didnt charge the mouse unless it was plugged into my dedicated USB charging port and not a regulars data transfer port.All the issues above I could live with but a couple days ago I tried to use the in air feature and found it was for some reason now continually moving to the bottom left hand corner of my screen no matter what I tried. Very disappointing and for this reason I would not recommend this mouse.

It did take me a week or so to get used to it but I love it now.That said there are many small keyboard devices with movement tech built in where you would get a keyboard too so be shure of what you want before you go for this option.
