You honestly get everything you need in a perfectly compact case. Just choose your T568A or B standard, make sure both sides are the same, and you can't go wrong. The passthrough allows you to double check your wires are right before you crimp and cut off the excess. The cutter cuts very good, the stripper strips off the sheath, and the crimper firmly creates a solid connection. There's an extra punch down tool with stripper as well for use, and you get a replacement blade for the crimper. Perfect!!!

No complaints here, I have a very similar model at work but well known computer networking name brand. This works just as well as that one with the same features. Love the fact that they print the wire order on these crimpers since I use this type of tool often but not often enough that I have or feel the need to memorize the wire order. If you are still using the old style crimper where you have to cut the network wires to a certain length and then crimp it is time to trash it. I wish I would have purchased one of these pass thru type years ago. This makes the process of making up a network cable take less than half the time with less wasted ends and SO much less frustration!

This is a really nice little tool! It crimps quite nicely, and comes with a selection of terminals and boots already in a nice, compact little case that tosses into a tool bag really easily. The crimper is super easy to use, just strip back the casing, push the wires through the terminal (there's even a guide printed on the tool to tell you the correct order) and squeeze! The pass-through crimps drive home, and it trims the wires flush to the end of the connector in one go, no having to individually strip wires!Overall, for a newbie at this kind of thing like me, this is super easy to work with!

This RJ45 crimper is more compact than my old work office crimper but works just as well.Unlike my old one, this one supports the pass-through style connector which I hadn't previously used.I tested using a CAT6 cable. I've had trouble in the past getting CAT6 wires into the connector and these connectors were no different for me. After a bit of fussing and jiggling, the wires did eventually slide into place. I like that once the wires popped through the pass-through I could see the color coding and could then verify that nothing had come out of position. I also like that (due to the pass-through) you can always get the sheathing fully inserted into the connector.For crimping I always get an extra hard squeeze and so did the same when testing these. The pass through wires almost all cut off fully/cleanly. A couple of the wire ends didn't drop off after the crimp but they fell right off when I brushed them - so almost a clean cut.Whether I decide to stick with pass-through connectors or switch back to standard, this crimper tool will get the job done.

This is a great little device to help you add connectors to ethernet cable. It comes with a bunch of connectors and sleeves along with spare blades, a stripper, and a nice zippered case. The quality of the crimper seems great with solid metal parts.With the old connectors I used, I had to cut all the wires and sheath to a perfect length before jamming them into the connector and crimping. The difference with this system is that you can push the wires through the end of the connector before crimping with the tool, which will also trim the extra length of wires to make them flush with the end. This is nice because you don't have to worry about how far back you stripped the sheath, and when you have the wires sticking out through the end of the connector, it's easier to see their colors and tell if they're in the right order.I'm a home owner who uses ethernet cable primarily to set up a POE camera system. I don't crimp a lot of connectors, but so far, so good. I've had to re-crimp a few because the teeth hadn't fully sunk into the wires, so be sure to check this after every job.

This is a compact kit that includes everything you need to "connector-ize" those Cat 6/6E cables. With the included blue strain reliefs you get a professional looking finished connector. After years of using just about every type of RJ45, many with small dividers you thread each wire through, etc finding these pass-through type are really a game changer. They are so much faster and make it easier to verify you have the wires in the correct order before you crimp them. The crimp tool includes a cutting blade that cuts the excess wire off that is "passed through" the connector. If you're using pass through type connectors you want a crimp tool that cuts as well. Sometimes you'll end up with a wire or two that doesn't fully cut but it will be easy to bend and snap it off. The included stripper makes it quick it trim the wire insulation without cutting into any of the pairs. You may need to test it on your particular brand of wire though as there are slight variations in insulation.

It’s a crippling tool but I wish it was more universal, i needed it for electrical wires but didn’t realize that it was for cable wires until it got here. It does the job for cables tho.

At first was very nervous about buying by now am so glad that I did, making my 30 meter Ethernet cable was fast and easy once you line everything up it takes seconds to add the rj45. No need for a big hole in the walls just the size of the cable much cleaner and tidier. Would definitely recommend giving this kit a try simple to use good quality and pays for itself in the long run
