The package arrived in two separate boxes. The door was very well protected with foam insulation and individual boxes for components. Assembly was fairly easy and done in about an hour and a half. If you put more than one door together, I would think it would take about 30 minutes each. The extra time I spent was to carefully lay the components out on a carpeted floor and double check everything against the instruction before putting it together.The frame came in a second box, again well protected with components in separate boxes. Here it may be more difficult for a DIY project. You have to read the instructions carefully and have some skill for framing a wall. If the door is installed in NEW construction, it will be much easier. If you are remodeling, you may have to take care to remove the old wall and re-frame all or part of it. It is also important to have the tools you may need. For remodeling you may need extra tools because of demolition. You also will have to be careful with remodeling to verify where any electrical wires are or any other obstructions.Amazon has a link to a post with photos of the frame installation. It is clearer and you can stop or start the video over and over until you are certain you have it right. Over time this video may be removed, so it you plan to view it I suggest you download it.The door weighs about 70 pounds making it advisable to have a second person help lift it into position.Once installed on the rails the door moves freely and quietly. The soft door closer can be adjusted be moving the “clips” on the rail. I did NOT install them to the exact measurements in the instructions. I opened and closed the door several times until it fit the frame just the way I wanted it.Also: the instruction said to install the door mounts 2.25 inches from the edge of the door. I did not do that because one of the screws would have been right on the seam where to pieces met and I was afraid it would split. I researched pocket doors and there seems no reason that measurement is absolute. I installed the mounts about 2 inches from the edge and it works just fine.NOTE: the door does NOT come with a lock or door pull. You will have to purchase those separately but they are about $20 depending on what you want.SUMMARY: I was very pleased with this product. The combination of both door and frame was well worth it rather than buying each separately. The steel frame supports were easy to install, simply follow the instructions. The door is solid and works beautifully.

Instantly complimented my modern feel remodel! Love it. Needs a separate handle and lock but definitely will purchase more.

It is reasonable for the money and the quality seems good. Used it to decide 2 rooms where I could not fit a door.

I ordered this beautiful pocket door not once but twice and both times it came without the hardware and then when the hardware came for the first one, it still didn’t have all the parts in it. I certainly hope you make it right for me. They cost a lot of money.
