You guys, are you stuck on “searching for remote” on a fire tv?!??? THIS IS THE REMOTE FOR YOU. I TRIED EVERYTHING YOUVE READ. Multiple remotes. Revolting tv. Hooking it up to the router with Ethernet cord. Rebooting the tv using an MS-DOS style of resetting to factory settings. None of that worked. I will couldn’t get past that dreaded screen. UNTIL THIS REMOTE. It’s because it uses Bluetooth instead of infrared. That’s literally all it needed. Worked like a charm straight out of the gates. I love love love my 2 voice Amazon Fire Stick remotes. One in living room & one in bedroom. TV & my 5 little Yorkies are my only so called recreation, I'm a homebody at 77 years old - my running around days are over! I love anything that saves me time and inconvenience. One time my fire stick in my living room was not responding & I don't have patience so I was getting ticked off, I called Amazon support department, she suggested for me to unplug the fire stick from the back of my television for five minutes and then plug it back in. That's exactly what I did - yippee Fire stick back to normal. That was about 9 months ago after I had my stick for over a year & half. Since then I had another slow response so I did what I was previously told and back to normal voice response. My 2nd stick in my bedroom to my Roku TV kinda went nuts. It stopped responding to voice, remote stopped working on volume etc. that problem I had to contact ROKU tech, after 45 minutes & giving him access to my TV he researched to find the problem then walked me through it to correct it! So it was not the Amazon stick. I think my dogs walked on the remote and screwed my TV up, but it got fixed and no problems since. So don't leave your remote on your bed! I love my Amazon Fire Stick w/Voice - I was first intimidated, but now I love it and I love more that I don't have to pay the huge cable bill!
