This arrived and looks great. It is stainless steel and seems very sturdy. We were anxious to install it. We are getting older and wanted it for helping us get into our pool. It comes with all the tools needed to install it, even a drill bit, that you use with your own drill. There were no instructions included. It actually seems obvious, how to install it. But, I am a very careful, 'follow the directions' type person and since we've never installed one before, I wanted to read about it online so we would avoid making any mistakes. Well, in reading about installing pool handrails, I discovered that this handrail, being stainless steel, must be 'bonded' ( which is similar to grounding) or the possibility of being shocked or electrocuted exists. Okay.....glad I did some reading first! This task can be performed by a VERY handy person, but it doesn't appear easy enough for me or my husband to do, so we will need to hire a professional.Aside from that, this handrail seems very nice and sturdy. The nonslip blue grip is nice, but I doubt it will last for a long time in the Florida sun, heat and humidity, but the handrails is fine without it too. And....the price is good. Just take into account that it needs to be bonded and that may require professional installation.

Arrived yesterday, installed today! This thing is the real deal. Heavy 304 stainless steel, with a large mounting plate, even anchors and screws. I cannot tell you how much safer I feel with this thing to lean on. The welds are top notch, and the blue rubberized pad is completely removeable and washable. The old hand rail we had was beginning to fail, I'm so glad we found this one when we did!

I bought the 55”x32” pool rail and would not recommend it. The pool rail came in sections even though the pictures and description did not indicate it. The picture of the hardware also did not show the small screws used to attach the pool rail to the base. As a result the base is solid and sturdy when bolted to the concrete but the hand rail that extends into the pool wobble side to side even when tightened as much as possible and is not sturdy as described. I also bought the smaller 32” x 18” pool rail for the spa and that was in one peace and solid. That worked out great.
