Very nice mattress protector! It fit my 10 inch queen perfectly!

Fit as described on a mattress very close to the size limit. Soft, stretchable and durable within expectations. These are a little thinner than more expensive covers but are a better value than those if you replace them a little more often.

I’ve had this cover for over 2 years now. I got it to protect my mattress from blood during shark week and from my dog who sleeps with me and occasionally throws up or tinkles a little in her dream in my bed. This is not as much liquid as other people have mentioned their mattress cover would have to endure, but it’s survived what my dog and I have put it through just fine. The only thing that’s a bit strange is because it’s not porous, at first when you use it and sit on it, it will balloon from the other end since the air doesn’t escape. But it’s minimal now and you can zip it properly to avoid this. I’ve gotten used to it to the point where I forget there’s a waterproof cover on it and panic when something spills, only to recall that everything is fine!! We’re surviving! It’s really soft and the part that faces out does not feel waterproof, to the point where you could sleep on that without a sheet and be fine. Overall it’s a really nice product, definitely one of the better ones from Amazon Basic.

Durable, ease of use

I decided to downsize to a twin size bed, a memory foam model on sale via Amazon. Crazy for a 50'something year old to go down to a twin but a full size bed I just didn't need. Decided to get a fully-encased mattress protector since I often will sit up in bed and watch tv and yes, eat in bed. I'm not a slob or anything (lol) but it was a "just in case" sort of thing. There was not that many reviews for this product yet but I was trusting on the AmazonBasics name and rep and ordered it.I always machine wash any linen type item before using. I unzipped it and washed on delicate with a "free" type detergent. Let me tell you, it does hold water! I had to be careful taking it out of washer, being sure to get the water out of it. Point is, I was confident it was waterproof. I put in dryer on delicate very low heat setting and kept an eye on it, not leaving it in past being dry, didn't take long. After washing and drying, no damage to it whatsoever, felt certain it could be washed and dried when needed.I put on my 12" memory foam mattress with no issue by myself but mind you, it was a twin and this model or protector was the 12-18" size. Zipper worked great. It makes no noise for me moving around. The only thing I would have done differently, is gotten the smaller size that went up to 12". I had concern that model would be too snug maybe and not allow the memory foam to expand fully after putting it on or make it take longer. I mean after I moved around a bit at night, etc. Now I know that probably wouldn't be the case. Hey! It is my first memory foam mattress! lol I've been using for several months now. I have a twin mattress pad on top ot it then a fitted sheet.I would most definitely recommend this AmazonBasics product to others. Thanks Amazon.

First impression was that material felt thin. But it was surprisingly easy to install by myself on a heavy queen mattress. It fit well- tailored but not tight. The zipper feels sturdy, and I'm confident it will last. It has only been on by bed for months, but it has been comfortable to sleep on and I have faith it will protect us from dust mites for a long time!

Accident? Spill? Throw it in the wash (zipped up), dry on low heat, and it's clean and ready to go.Doesn't feel like plastic or rubber sheets but it's just as effective. Spills soak into the protector but never make it to the mattress. We typically catch it within 12 hours of the toddler-sized spill/accident so I'm not sure how it holds up to bigger or longer hidden spills.The "low-profile, 9inch" version fits very well on a 10-inch gel/memory foam mattress. The larger size would likely be a very sloppy fit. It zips off at an end and you have to slip it down the length of the mattress. This can be annoying when you've got a mess on one side but still doable.

It doesn't feel like plastic. It's soft and cloth like. I've spilled quite a few things on it. And never gotten any stain on my mattress. I don't think I would try to pour a whole gallon of water or other liquid and expected to work well . But I've never tried that so I really don't know . But for it's purpose it's absolutely excellent . Keeping the little everyday spills and stains off your mattress. It absolutely does that job. The fit is good. The only knock I have on it is the zipper is a little cheap. But that's everything nowadays. Highly recommend this product
