The product was real good functional didn’t have any problem with it. Started engine first try without having a charger it perfect right out the box.

Mine arrived a bit damaged. The two batteries were held together with double sided tape. The batteries were not aligned together properly and would not fit in the UPS. I had to remove the fuse, separate the batteries, remove the double-sided tape, and reassemble. FYI - clear packaging tape works better than double-sided tape to hold the batteries together. Each battery was already charged. I got CSB manufactured batteries. My set did not come with the plastic terminal guards as shown in the picture, make sure you save them from your previous pack. If you don't have the plastic terminal guards anymore, you can just tape a couple layers of cereal-box cardboard over the terminals. It's also a good idea to stuff some of the cardboard in between the two terminals on the non-fused end of the battery to keep them from accidentally touching. If you have some plastic-safe terminal cleaner like Chemtronics Presaturated Wipe, Electro-Wash MX, 25/Pack it's a good idea to clean the connector plug terminals with the cleaner and qtips.

I just received the battery pack. It consists of 2 batteries stuck together with double-stick tape. The tape had disintegrated and the 2 sub batteries, though connected by the fuse and the wiring connector are effectively 2 units moving independently. Without care in handling the fuse will be mechanically damaged. Also, as mentioned by other reviewers there are no safety covers.It seems to hold a charge, so I will repair this unit and keep it rather than go through the hassle of returning it. It's pathetic that the item fell apart during shipping.I paid $115 for this unit. In the future I will buy the 2 sub-units independently and use my existing connector, fuse and safety covers to build my own unit (currently $80).I find it interesting that other reviewers report similar problems and still give the unit 3 or 4 stars. Not in my book.

This worked perfectly (at least so far). Of course this is a heavy battery and the hardest part is lifting it. The replacement was easy to do - even for someone like me that doesn't often do this kind of thing. I found a Youtube video that shows how it is done and which made if very easy to do. Assuming it lasts for a reasonable period of time, I would buy this again.

This product is NOT an APC battery. The battery halves came separately with the tape between them ripped off like these were take-outs and not "new". The terminal jumper came in a bag broken and bent. If I were not in a bind, I would have returned this to seller. I had to construct the battery myself using packing tape to hold the halves together and then straighten and attach the terminal jumper and wire/connection set. I have a different definition of "NEW". It does work after I built it.

I have a few negative comments about my purchase.Due to the writting "BY APC" I thought it was an APC product. IT ISN"T!!!!It said new. The battery is scratched up and looks recycled.Since many reviews claim this is a reliable company, I will with hold final judgement. Hopefully it should last 2 years. I only installed it this morning and it works.I gave it an OK review ONLY because it works and I don't know if it is defective or not. If it lasts for 2 years then I will give it 5 stars.

Plugged it in, slid it into place, and I was done. One star off for lack of guidance, specifically how to disconnect the old battery. There's a plug on the end of the wire, but it is unclear whether there is a hidden catch to release the plugs from each other. There isn't, but tugging didn't seem to help, either. A screwdriver wedged near the sides of the plug finally did the trick. (Be very careful not to get the blade anywhere close to the center area where the conductors are.) A simple fragment of paper explaining the best method would have taken at least 10 minutes off the installation.

I bought this from Amazon October 10, 2012 (great thing about Amazon's system, they keep record of all of your orders for you!) when my original APC battery stopped charging. No problems to date and has worked reliably through numerous power outages; which are getting more frequent in my area. I am glad I bought an UPS and this replacement battery!
