g1リスペクトが感じられ、トランスフォーマーのゲームとしてももちろんですが、ゲームとしても高いレベルにあると思います。システム的にはハクスラ要素のあるベヨネッタと言ったところで、敵の攻撃を寸前で回避することでスローモーションになる部分なんかはまんまです。初期プレイ時は他で言うところのイージー、ノーマル、ハードの3段階ですが、高難度をクリアする度にもう2段階上の難度が控えています。高難度では敵の攻撃スピードと頻度が大幅にアップしてかなり苦戦を強いられます(雑魚の攻撃3、4発でやられたりします)。ですが、ひたすらに武器を強化しレベルを上げ、回復アイテムでごり押しするなどの救済措置がある為、頑張ればそれだけ先に進めるゲームではあります。惜しむべきは、日本語での攻略情報があまりないので、細かなステータスや武器の効率的な強化方法が手さぐりで行わなければならない部分でしょうか。そういった試行錯誤の点を含めて、個人的には久しぶりに楽しめたゲームです。
