A MUST BUY!
I purchased 4 so far and I intend to buy more in the future. If you're looking into this product I'll save you a lot of time and research you already know that you're looking to achieve the Emerson effect I promise you this is the cheapest and least cumbersome way to achieve your desired results. This product is brought to you by 2 very trustworthy YouTubers who are known for their thorough research as well as their high-quality products along with great pricing. I have followed both of these YouTubers for several years and I assure you not only are they trustworthy but they do their research and the products they provide are high quality at fair and usually unbeatable prices for similar products.

Excellent supplemental light
I currently am running 3x 200w canagrow COB lights (they are okay, but way overpriced) and a 250w DIY rapid LED light in a 5 x 5 tent. Admittedly the tent is not full right now because I have some big fans, an AC and a humidifier in the tent.Anyway, in addition to my primary lights (which I recommend just going straight with a 5x5 rapidled kit) I also have 2 far red initiator pucks and 1 Emerson board and 1 Exotic Supplements board.I’d like to add 1 more exotic board, 1 more Emerson board, and 2 more far red initiator pucks. I think that would give me complete coverage of my 5x5 area.Despite what some people post, you only need to run these lights at night. There is no benefit of running them before your primary lights turn on, despite the fact that it might imitate sunrise a little bit.For a 12/12 light schedule, this is how I run my lights:07:45 primary lights come on07:45 Emerson board / exotic board come on07:45 far red initiator puck goes on19:45 primary lights off19:45 Emerson board / exotic board off20:00 far red initiator pucks go offThe reason you don’t need to run them to “wake your plants up” is because your plants will wake up just fine when your primary lights come on and they start photosynthesizing. The hard part is putting them to sleep, not waking them up. On average, without the far red puck, it can take up to two hours for them to fall asleep! With the far red puck, they fall asleep right away! Basically it has to do with how the phytochromes work and how it's helpful to speed the sleep process up, but theres no evidence it speeds the waking process up -- as soon as the light hits your plants they photosynthesize and the phytochrome red enters its active stateSure, you can put them on in the morning to mimic a sunrise and slowly wake your plants up, but if you just let your lights come on full blast your plants will wake up just fine, and be praying as expected! How many pucks do you need? Depends on the size of your area. For a 5x5 I would say you want 4-6 pucks. You could have them in 3 rows of two, or you could have one in the center and 4 around it on the sides. The more intense far red you have, the faster they will fall asleep. As far as I can tell, all the “far red” lights on amazon are 660nm whereas this light is farther in the red spectrum. I think it’s 680 or 690, and there is a noticeable difference. The other far red lights are also too bright, you need a balanced spectrum. Keep about 18” above your plants. I have my far red pucks hanging about 8 inches below my lights.

Perfect for a 2'x2'. Really strong IR led.
It attend two distinct goals: 1- Emerson effect for additive photosynthesis (keep it on for The enterelly "day" period) and 2 - put The plants to sleep, I leave it ON for 15 min after The main lights go off, and could shorten The dark cycle to 10 hours with great success. It pulls 9w from the wall and add enough IR light to a typical 250w LED pannel.

Great addition for the money. Reduces stress on plants.
Extremely good product! For the price and space it takes up I decided to buy two more directly from this company. Rapid LED makes amazing products and this is another home run!!!! I noticed immediate results after adding one puck a couple weeks into flower. Yeah pants get a better nights rest with just 30 minutes of running this bad boy at lights out. I can definitely tell the plants are way less stressed and ready for the light to come up! Also no science on this but I feel it helps dramatically reduce light leak stress and stopped my plants from “herming”.

Not true 730nm far red.
All plants used under this have hermied. Need a tried and tested bulb with true 730nm in order to extend artificial light period past 12 hours. HLG has a great bulb.

Game Changer with Results
I added pictures so you could better see my results. This is entering week 3 of flower. I only ordered one for my 4x4 being on a tight budget. But as you can see in the picture, the left side of my plants are a taller, and the bud site are way more developed & further into preflower process. 100% recommend this product after seeing clear results, and in a way I’m glad I cheeped out to see the results for myself. I’d definitely recommend 4 for 4x4. I’ll be ordering more! What I don’t likeIt does get fairly hot, a small heatsink would be nice for the price. Also, it doesn’t have any hooks for hanging, which I found kinda annoying. Just used some tape & a rope to clip into the carabiners.Recommend running 15 mins before main lights are on, and after for the full Emerson effect. Check out the Studies from Utah State

Great Product
Easy to set up, very bright. I was nocerned that the drivers on board would block coverage but have not observed that this is the case. They are quite bright. 1 puck actually does covere a 3ft² space. 2 pucks cover 1m² quite well. Quite happy with my pruchase.
