FluvalImpeller Replacement for Fluval C4 Power Filter

My filter was noisy. I figured out from past experience, needed a new impeller.Filter was couple years old...quiet now.

Original impeller was cracked and noisy after years of use.

This did the trick to fix a noisy C4 that I bought Here on Amazon brand new . I stumbled across this fix by installing a C3 impeller I had lying around after doing some research . I found that All the C series filters use the exact same motor , it is the impellers that determine the speed and flow. I was amazed that the C3 impeller did work and really quieted down the C4 filter BUT flow was also reduced.. Had to run at full speed but it did work . I be buying another impeller just to have a spare , You just cant beat these fluval C Series filters

This was the 4th impeller I've had to purchase for filter. THERE IS NO SUPPLIER ISSUE. This is a manufacturer poor product ISSUE. I just had this one to go bad so the Fulval is getting trashed and replaced.

The media could not be loaded. Little overpriced but they need replaced every couple years. Filter is nice and quiet again

I bought a brand new packaged deal aquarium that came with the fluval filter. It was fairly noisy from the get go. After a year it was so noisy that it was driving us crazy. I researched issues with this filter and found that changing the impeller could solve my problem. I purchased it here and had it the next day. After installing we were amazed at how quiet it is now. I do feel it is a little pricey for such a small part of the entire filter system but still giving 5 stars because of its efficiency.

I've had my fluval filter for 3 or so yrs now. This is the 2nd time I've had to replace to impeller. The unit gets LOUD when the impeller goes bad. This is a constantly moving part, so it makes sense that it will need to be replaced from time to time. It seems to get miss balanced & makes a heck of a racket.It is held in place magnetically, down in a hole under the intake tube. If you have big hands, you might have a bit of trouble removing the old impeller, because of the tight space, but it's really not difficult.I appreciate that I can replace the part & don't have to buy a whole, new unit everytime the impeller dies. However I wish the price point was lower since this part is made to wear out.

My filter is quiet once again. A bit pricey but cheaper than a new filter.
