Functional but requires frequent cleaning
Here is what I like about the product. They seem well made and robust for the application. I had to guess as to how to install as there were no directions but once i figured to heat the ends of the fittings in 180 degree water for a few seconds they slide right on the 3/4" pvc pipe. You have to "train" the chickens to seek out the water and after that they are pretty idiot proof with one exception.Things I didn't like:1. No directions for installing, optional configurations. Thank god for Youtube and DIY'ers.2. I tried several strategies and non were great. The chickens kick up lots of debris and bedding. I have to clean these things out daily. The whole idea was to set up a self sustaining system I could walk away from a week or more at a time. I built in auto door openers. I built in auto feeders. I built in auto egg collectors. I built in auto watering. Auto watering needs more maintenance than the other systems by far using this product. It is clever. It works as described. It is far from maintenance free.

Difficult to install and not leak
So we set these up in our chicken run. We found that we do like the design of the cups and valves. However, installing was a struggle. We order pvc pipe in the size indicated. I found that I was not going to be able to slide the PVC pipe into the open ends. Bought more piping in same size from another source (and manufacturer)...same thingI ended up using a heat gun to warm the upon ends, then was able to carefully push until the opening widened enough to slide over PVC. Doing it this was I knew I would have to remove the pipe, add some pipe glue/sealant, or it would leak. Once I heated each open end, pushed over pip, pulled off, added pipe glue, re-installed pipe and let dry thoroughly, I was able to set up three of these in-line along with the vertical pipe to the water bucket. After much more work than I expected this system works great. Be careful when first installing a cup or a replacement cup as the threads are very soft of the pipe fitting end. You can easily strip the threads and if you have had to glue them in place it will be much more difficult to fix

Not your standard white PVC tubing!
I have yet to install these cups, so I can not comment if they work or not at this time. However, I was disappointed to find that the tees shown in the picture are not pvc, but some sort of cheap plastic with the tubes being filled with leftover plastic/ resin that needs to be removed in order to function. I am going to try and salvage the cups and install them in actual pvc to see if this purchase was worth it

Good Cups & Mechanisms , Connectors not a standard size
I bought these assuming that the "pipe" on them were a standard size to glue into. Its is not pipe, just thin plastic and they are not a standard size.A+ for the cups and mechanical mechanisms though.

Received as ordered
Hens never got used to them. Changed to the no peck solution.

Extremely cheap and NOT PVC, nor does it fit ANY PVC. It's useless.
Could not use. Useless. Does not fit any PVC pipe. Not as described.

Cleaner way to water chickens.
Sturdy cups. I used these to build a waterer from pvc and along with some Teflon tape it made a tight seal. Impressed with their quality.

Leak water, I have them in my chicken house
I have them to water the chickens, but they constantly leak water.I will be disassembling my water setup and throwing them away
