I have a lot of classes in rooms that have tiny desk space and rows. You basically have to keep shuffling sideways until you get to your seat and hope your backpack doesn’t smack someone’s head in front of you or their face in back of you so I wanted to find a more low-profile solution that could still fit everything I need.The pockets are quite taut which is nice for holding my pens, colored tabs, ruler, pencil, eraser, and lead in place. I was also able to secure my headphone holder in the calculator spot as well as a 4-pack of batteries for my TI-84 calculator.Behind the pad of paper that comes with it is a pocket and the back cover of the pad is inserted into that pocket to keep it in place. There is also an elastic loop on the right side to place a pen.I placed a wider-than-average pen that has a level and a small Philips and slotted screwdriver in it and it fits snugly and doesn’t droop oddly from the uneven weight distribution.In the right pocket, I keep loose paper in a slim folder to take notes during class so that I can write on the back side of the paper easily and also avoid all the distracting noise from rummaging through a backpack and opening/closing a plastic binder during lectures.I can fit my keys, a snack-sized bag of nuts, my small wallet, and my TI-84 calculator and zip it closed without any bulging. So far, the zipper zips easily and stays zipped without the teeth disengaging when it’s not supposed to.I live in an area where we can still have triple digit temperatures at this time of year and my back gets pretty sweaty under my backpack so this has been helpful in avoiding that.I actually like how it looks as well - very sleek and classy. It also looks a lot more professional than my backpack. The outer material is soft enough not to cause hand cramps but still firm enough that you get the clean lines on the edges.
