Bought this to work in my shop i build a lot of furniture this was to replace a Masterforce I got from Menards . So far so good

I just purchased the DCD740C1 to replace a very old DEWALT 18V right angle drill that stopped working after more than a decade of use. The new DCD740C1 works great, and has a 1/4" hex socket built into the standard drill chuck. I really like this hex feature for use with wood bits as it locks them into the drill, no slipping. I wish all my hand-held drills had this feature.

This model is a significant improvement over the former 14 volt right angle cordless drill. Battery life is much better and the battery stays charged for a longer period of time.

This drill replaced a much older 12v Dewalt angle drill that seen better days.Plenty of power, not too heavy and feels good in the hand.Extra extended time batteries should be bought with the drill as the factory batteries don’t last long.

I ordered this as a gift for my husband. It came with as others have mentioned a soft case. I contacted the vendor and they were extremely helpful and anxious to please. They asked me to get the item number from DeWalt.As you all probably know DeWalt does not sell direct. After registering the drill I contact DeWalt and explained the problem. They sent me a item number for the case. I forwarded it to the vendor and in a few days I got a part it was not the hard case. I contacted Dewalt, sent them the picture from the Amazon ad of the case and a picture of the "head" they sent me. I also notified the vendor who again said they would gladly accept a return. Hubby wanted it so. I sent vendor the info DeWalt sent me, and Guess what. A beautiful Made in USA hard case appeared at my door today! The drill is what he needed and the case is now what was advertised in the listing. A win win situation!

Naturally a good tool from.Dewalt. Fits into spaces with nut drivers or screw driver and maintains force with little pressure applied to the.tool. Wondering why it took.me.so long to get this.
