I collect rocks, so I bought this to fill at the beach. I spent 10 days of vacation, filling this backpack with rocks to bring home and sort through and bring the ones I didn't want back to the beach the next day. I would fill it until I could barely stand - probably almost 40 pounds at a time.This backpack held up like a champ! No tears on the straps and not stretched out. Water drips through it, but that didn't bother me.There's also smaller pockets I kept my chapstick and phone and things.This backpack served my use on vacation, but it won me over and I'm going to use it all the time now. Best backpack I've ever owned.It also weighs next to nothing when empty!And there's a whistle on the front clip! Great safety feature.

Summary:Easy to fold up and light to carry. I recommend for people who are spontaneous or have kids, you can keep in car or large purse. Has a chest strap and plenty of storage and pockets. Good quality design and material.Pros:I have used this for traveling as a sports bag for weightlifting, and used on multiple hiking trips, including the narrows in Zion National Park, a water hike. I doubled layered my stuff in plastic bags just in case, but everything stayed dry. I did not immerse the backpack in water. The water level came up to my belly button and I tightened the shoulder straps to help prevent leakage, I think the bottom of the backpack hit the water a couple of times but my stuff remained dry. The chest strap with buckle/emergency whistle and the builtin pockets in the front and where you fold up the backpack (top of the inside) were nice features, as well as the inside sleeve/separator. The lightweight and sturdy material was nice as well. For hiking it would be better if it had a 1, a waist strap 2, a Velcro to hang a water bladder from the inside the sleeve, and 3, the ability to run to run drinking straw through some guides while keeping the zipper closed, but for the price its great!.cons: One thing I did not like was that if the zipper on the main section was not in one of the 2 bottom positions, either to far left or far right, the zippers could pull open with a weighted pack as I found out on one of my hikes when the zipper was closed in the middle to run the straw of my water bladder. Now that I know the solution is to have the zipper in one of the bottom positions, its not as much of a problem.It seems very sturdy so far for occasional use as I described above, but I would not try to load it with a bunch of school books every day.

We have 3 young children and often go on a road trip or a family get away for sight seeing.The problem is, we always end up having to lug and carry around so much more than what we went out with by the end of the day because 1) we end up buying stuff like souvenirs and water bottles, etc 2) kids end up taking off their jackets and sweatshirts in the middle of the day or when we are inside indoor places.Not a problem anymore. My wife simply carries this folded backpack inside her shoulder bag or tote bag and when we have more things to carry around by the mid-day, we simply take it out from her shoulder bag, unfold it in seconds, and viola! we have a backpack that can hold everything we need to in one place!When folded, it's very light, small, and thin that it easily fits into lady's tote bag and she won't even notice the difference. As you can see in the picture, I actually have another packable backpack, which is a lot bigger backpack but I hardly use that one because it's bigger and thicker when folded and packed.WHY THIS BACKPACK IS SO AWESOME :✔️ it's very light weight yet strong and durable✔️ the shoulder strap is extremely comfortable because it's slightly padded and meshed for air flows✔️ has so many pockets inside and out and I love the quick access pocket✔️ you don't need to carry extra storage bag as the bag itself can be folded and packed inside one of the pockets!I absolutely love this backpack and it's the first thing that I grab on every family outing and road trips/vacations because I will never know if I can use another backpack or not, and if I ended up not needing one, I would almost forget my wife had one in handy inside her shoulder bag.BOTTOM LINE:5 out of 5 stars. We ordered 5 of these for a recent trip and it made it really easy to keep everyone's stuff organized in a different color backpack. they fold up and take very little extra space, so we also brought along some extras to hold dirty laundry and souveniers. These are super light weight, but still relatively strong. I like them because they are so lightweight and have many zippers, but don't buy this if your looking for support and structure in a backpack because they don't have any.

This is a great bag. It’s sturdy and well made and has lots of features I’d only normally expect on a really expensive rucksack, like good solid water bottle pockets both sides, reflective flashes, a comfortable elastic chest strap, and an emergency whistle built into the strap. It fits well and adjusts easily and the straps don’t move once adjusted. It’s simple to pack up into itself for ease of travel. It’s lightweight but very robust and has useful pockets. I have an expensive properly fitted Osprey bag I usually use on hikes, but I bought this one to take on trips where I need to minimise luggage since it folds up tiny, and I don’t miss my Osprey when I use it. Highly recommended.

Bought this specifically for an island-hopping trip to Greece, from which I've just returned. In the three weeks it's been stuffed into my main rucksack as I've hiked from place to place; served as hand baggage on planes and ferries; proved large enough for my towels, suncream, drinks, and book for the beach; been slung over my shoulder while exploring; and has carried heavy loads from the supermarket. And at the end of all this there is no sign at all of a fraying seam or a sticky zip. Excellent!

Still using this without any damage for 10months. Very good quality. Lightweight. I only wish it had a solid padded back for against my back for comfort cos if you put stuff in with corners or off shapes it can dig in. It's ideal for gym and taking softer stuff away. I packed for 7fays in NY and it was bursting at seams, no tears or damage!

Very happy with the rucksack,it was exactly what I required.It holds everything I needed, and when not required it foldseasily into itself which makes it great for taking with youuntil its needed.

This is not a 40 litre rucksack ! I don't care what the description says; it closed to 20 litres. This is the second time i have been fooled by misleading description and reviews re the size of a backpack ..but i can guarantee there will not be a third time ..im going to buy my next backpack from an actual shop where i can check the size myself
