Question 1

we bought a barbie jeep at a yard sale. It is a barbie crusin jeep 12v. I found the # for the charger 008010930, but don't know what battery to buy.

Accepted Answer

I'm not sure if the Barbie jeep is the same one that we have but if it's a hot wheels it should be the same. The battery I bought had a part number of 00801-0638 and it was an exact match to the one that came with the jeep when we bought it 11 years ago. And it was about $15.00 cheaper then what I could buy it at Batteries Plus.

Question 2

Is there a charger that fits into this battery. All the ones I see are thinner/half the size of the original one that fit into the grey battery?

Accepted Answer

I actually have 2 chargers and my battery is for sale. Only used twice! The Barbie car fell apart. No no where to use my battery!

Question 3

How many years did your original battery last from date of purchase? We are about to replace ours & have had it for almost 2yrs.

Accepted Answer

I got the Frozen movie Power Wheels mustang car about 4 years ago. The battery that came with it has just this month started having trouble. The Power Wheels mustang has an mp3 player and some electronics (lights and music). With the original battery, the car has started freezing up like a computer crash (wouldn't drive and couldn't turn off and on; had to be unplugged and replugged to restart the car). We have another 12V battery Power Wheels that is newer (2 years old) and doesn't have any electronics - just a motor. The newer car with the older battery drives fine but doesn't last for as long. The older car with the battery from the newer car drives fine with no computer crashes. So... 4 years if the Power Wheels has electronics and extras. Probably a little longer if the Power Wheels just goes forward and back but no music or sound effects. I have always kept the batteries inside overnight, so they have never been left out in the hot or cold, which might help them last longer. (I cover the cars with a tarp when the kids aren't riding.)
