Great High Value Flash
This is a very nice speedlite! It's E-TTL 2 compatible. I have been using it in fully automatic mode and it gets the job done beautifully. It's very simple and easy to use in that mode. I have experimented with continuous shooting with flash and the flash works very well in that mode. Once or twice it wouldn't turn on and I simply opened and firmly closed the battery compartment to fix the situation with no further problem. It can focus in the dark with the built in infrared emitter focus assist...my T6i cannot focus in near total darkness on it's own. As for Flash Exposure Bracketing, like AEB but the flash is doing the f-stop flash exposure adjustments rather than the camera setting the camera exposures, I get mixed results on that. Sometimes it "seems" as though it actually works and other times it's obvious it didn't. When I set FEB it doesn't actually show up in the settings that I actually made a flash setting on FEB, even though sometimes it "seems" like the 3 flashes are correctly set for -1, 0, +1 EV exposures. I'm not done experimenting in this area so these results are inconclusive at this time.Continuous flash also works quit well giving a stroboscopic effect to continuous shots. The built in clear plastic light diffusion does a decent job of softening the light on the subject. I like the auto zoom feature which adjusts as you zoom the camera lens in and out. It helps keep the most light where it is most needed and also gives the speedlite a greater flash to subject distance it can be effectively used.It comes with a simple black nylon bag with drawstring. I don't use it. I bought a 3 pack of neoprene lens carrying pouches. The middle size pouch is for my lens, the smaller for my Movo external mic, the larger size fits this speedlite perfectly.Looking at the bottom of the hot shoe, all the pins are present and in the correct configuration for the Rebel T6i. I like the great cost-to-quality ratio...low cost-high quality. Love the low price compared to an actual Canon speedlite. Overall I really like this flash and am very pleased with it, glad I got it because it has been doing a great job for me. No real problems that I've experienced with it so far. I would definitely recommend this item to anyone looking for a good low cost speedlite to add to their photo accessories.

Decent alternative to the Canon brand flash
My one gripe about this flash is that the battery (was) not sold separately - it was always out of stock. A few months later, it was restocked, but neither Amazon nor Neewer will ship this out of the Continental US, likely due to it being Li-Ion and a fire risk for the shippers.I don't do anything fancy with the flash - I just need it to add light to my subject when the ambient light is too low for a decent shot. For the most part, the flash is either too bright if aimed directly at the subjects or too dark if bouncing off a ceiling/wall or through a diffuser.I haven't tried using the Canon brand flash to see if it's any better, but it's difficult to justify that higher price tag unless I can be sure it will work for me.

Good but maneuvering the settings can is not the most user friendly
Not so user friendly on changing the settings. It can be overwhelming. I now use it as my backup.

Not working with Canon 5D MK IV
Either I don't know how to use it, or it's just plain defective. Sadly, there is NOWHERE I can ask or find out about trouble shooting. Sending it back
