Image and instructions on the back of the packaging are not very helpful. Watch a quick video on YouTube to better see what a "no-brainer" installation really is. Very simple to install and very secure but be sure to really re-tighten the cover plate screws down hard to avoid any slippage or rotation of the device itself.

Was easy to install. I live in a large older apartment complex & who knows who has a key. Feel much better knowing maintenance (who show up unexpectedly) can’t let themselves in when I’m in the shower. Highly recommend this product.

I did not know this existed until I was trying to find additional security on a door that opened outwards in a rental property.I live alone and knowing many people have a key to my door makes me uncomfortable. This has added a ton of security for me to use at night or when I’m home. I know I still have to let the landlord and maintenance in of course, but this prevents surprise visits when I may be showering or such.Now I only wish it could work remotely as well (smart lock).It was incredibly easy to install. Only required the type of screw driver your deadbolt uses. You loosen the deadbolt casing and slip this over it. Then tighten it up again. It’s about a 5 minute install and no damage to the door.The best part is there were a few times someone tried to come in unexpectedly and they worked perfectly. So they’ve already proven themselves.I’m definitely going to have these on all my exterior doors going forward.

Wow, easy to install and good concept for safety. You'll have to use a sludge hammer to unbolt the door.

This item does not fit all deadbolts the ring is too small, and in the way of existing screw holes when you try to fit it behind the deadbolt face cover. You may also need to replace the screws in your deadbolt with longer screws because the ring or plate of this item that sits behind your deadbolt base increases the space between your deadbolt face and the dead bolt face screw holes (the 2 screws that this product claims only need to be loosened may actually need to be replaced with longer screws) - not simple and not all that easy to install unless modified. I tried on 2 of my deadbolts - returning this item.- Longer replacement screws need to be provided by seller.- The two halves of the ring that fits behind your deadbolt do not seem to fit together very securely - only held together by the pressure from the 2 small screws on the faceplate of your deadbolt..
