The Spektrum SPMBT1000 Bluetooth Programming Module enables wireless Bluetooth connectivity between the Spektrum DXe transmitter and compatible AS3X receivers (AR636, AR6335, AR7350, AR9350). Operates perfectly
Solid connection to older AS3X receivers. Easy to program with iPhone. Does not lose connection and makes field adjustments easy.

It does work, but has very limited use
Yes it does work, but with Spektrum you will likely need another one for another Tx or Rx ...My TX16S arrived a week ago and that is it for me. No longer a hardcore Spektrum fan.

Works great!
I got this for my dxe that came with my mini apprentice s. And it works amazing. I will tell you that you should get the usb cable to register you transmitter. I am leaving mine connected so when I am on the field I can change profiles on the go. Have not tried that yet but I have been able to bind and configure my twin otter to my dxe.

Nice device, convenient.
This device removes the need for a cable to connect your phone to your receiver; now you can make adjustments to your receiver with ease at the flying field. The cable is no longer supported and hasn't been for 2+ years.

Avoid - completely useless
I wanted to be able to program my DXe Transmitter via my phone with this device while on the go, but the experience has made me question buying another spektrum product again. I was able to connect to the transmitter and my phone rather quickly, but immediately got an error saying the transmitter firmware needed to be updated.That's where things totally fall apart. In order to accomplish this, you need to make an account with spektrum (they don't even have SSL on their website, so Chrome flags it as unsecured...). After you make an account, you need to register your transmitter, which requires the serial number of the transmitter, which can ONLY BE FOUND by downloading a program and using THEIR USB CABLE to find it!!!! Once you have the serial number, you can now register the device, load up ANOTHER PC application, and in theory install the updated firmware. At this point, you can use the PC app to do what the phone was going to do anyway, rendering this dongle a waste of time and money.If you do choose the DXe, and want to update the sticks for full travel and adjust the channel outputs, that's basically your only option.
