Not perfect but works.
It got the job done. Holes didn’t line up perfectly for my application but it seems sturdy enough. It’s definitely far sturdier than the original attachment for the arm.

Save me a service call
We had a deep freeze and froze the garage door in place when I tried lifting it snapped. My next door neighbor had the same issue and called for service cost them $200 and basically used the same bracket as I had ordered from Amazon. Very easy install as well and stronger than the original connection.

Pin too short
Good product overall, but the Clevis pin that came with it is about a 1/4” too short, had to go to the hardware store and buy a longer one that would fit

Solid
Does what it's designed to do. Adjstable length makes it very flexible. Took a second to understand how it worked, but once it clicked, it was clear and easy to install. Take comfort in knowing the door is solid after this update or fix.

Had To Modify But GTG!
Now I know why people frequently return this item….Its because many garage doors have a cross section this bracket doesn’t accommodate. My pictures have that area in RED and the cuts I had to make in GREEN.Once I cut the lower part down all bolt holes lined up. I did however drill out three holes and used 3/8 bolts with washers and nylon insert stop nuts. The modifying of the bracket did not compromise the part and the three bolts definitely drew the door and bracket tighter to one another with no gaps visible during the movement of the garage. With the contact point being lower than the stock bracket one would have to lower the connecting rod also to complete this installation. In short, my garage door opens and closes, it’s has a solid bracket and is quieter than before(?).The part is made well which should rate a 5 but not versatile enough to fit more applications so for that I give it a 4.
