After having a professionally installed alarm for the past 20+ years, I was skeptical about using an alarm that is self installed. But, all alarm reviews say Simplisafe is one of the top options to buy. Even ADT is going to self install kits recently. So, I decided to roll the dice.One of my main concerns was a theif finding the base unit during the disarm delay and destroy the base unit before the alarm goes off and the notification gets sent out (Smash & Crash). I added two extra sirens and placed one indoor and the other outdoor. I hid the base station. When the alarm goes off, the base station and other sirens will be going off at the same time, making it nearly impossible to pinpoint the base station location and drawing attention to the house.The install only took an hour to install 3 motion detectors, 2 external sirens, 1 water detector, 1 smoke detector, 4 door sensors, and a glass breakage sensors. Programming mode is super intuitive and takes less than a minute to set up each device. Cleaned the surface with alcohol prior to sticking a sensor on and no issues. The app is also user friendly and useful to arm/disarm the system and check status.Been using the system for months and it has worked flawlessly with zero false alarms. Based on my experience, would highly recommend Simplisafe.

I studied the product and read numerous reviews. I bought a combo package with multiple devices. It was very quick and easy to setup. After the account and base station setup, add devices one right after the other. They all connected quickly and functioned as expected. I'm awaiting additional devices to enhance the system. The camera quality is exceptional and was also easy to set up.

Nice system. Easy setup, even for seniors. I am self monitoring, which is free! Making this system a great value. The only drawback for me, is when I put it in Home Mode at night, the system doesn’t fully count out loud the seconds to it being armed. It will count out loud so far, then go silent, then start again to the final countdown. Annoying, but at least it works.

Simple connection and can opt for self-monitoring or several different level monthly monitoring accounts. No contract required. Self-install or can pay to have company professionally install. I’ve added water sensors, door push button entrance pad, panic button and smoke detector to system. Completely customizable.

Amazing value for such a high end system. Easy to set up and install the sensors. Only one indoor camera so we'll likely get a second. Can't say enough good things about SimpliSafe!

If you have a house built with lathe and plaster walls DO NOT BUY THIS? I have multiple devices within 25 ft of the base unit with one and two wall separations. And the signal strength of the devices to the base unit fails often. And most of the time it fails when you are sleeping in the middle of the night. I'm a professional installer and for old houses I would not buy this ever again.

This was so easy to set up, I am not kidding. Very intuitive system. I love that you can buy devices that will detect glass breaking, water leaking, smoke detectors, temperature sensors, all of the things that make you feel secure leaving your home and living in it when you are home. Customer Service is amazing. I was super impressed with the one phone call that I did make concerning the membership. I had this set up in just a few hours. I didn’t realize that the control panel had a mounting bracket. I thought it just had the stickers at first. When I googled buying a holder, I realized that it came with a mounting bracket, you just slide the control panel down and you have your bracket. The keypad/control panel also senses when your hand is near the unit, so it automatically wakes up before you even touch it. The base unit has a light blue light that’s always on, so you don’t wanna put it in your bedroom or anywhere that you wouldn’t want a nightlight. Very, very happy with the system. Highly recommend.
