No X!
I needed a new ND filter and after much research I decided this was the one! The reviews were mostly favourable and I wasn’t seeing a whole load of “stuck on lens” comments, although for those that have got filters stuck I assume they’ve tightened them up way more than they should have! The lens comes in a plastic box unlike its larger siblings which come in a faux leather case that feels a lot nicer, so that’s a minor downside, if you don’t pay attention you could potentially open and have the filter fall to the ground, just be careful and don’t get distracted while opening! In practice it works fantastically well, the movement through the ND range feels very smooth and feels like you’re moving something that is well engineered, and crucially there’s no X like you can get with some filters.I’ve used it in winter sunshine and have had no issues, the range of ND values has been sufficient, it might be interesting to see how it fares in the blazing summer sun, but I’m a happy customer with it currently. As with all things optical, it’s not cheap but it’s also not outrageously priced, a little cheaper and it would be firmly into the bargain category but I think it’s slightly too high, so it’s a neutral feeling on value for me.That said, I bought a larger one for my 78mm lens based on how good this one felt and spoiler alert, the 78mm is just as good! I may just buy some adaptors in the future so I can use a larger filter on a smaller lens and then have everything covered with single purchases, but for the moment this will do!

Amazing filter!
Item arrived safely and in perfect condition, exactly as described. Delivery was quick and packaging was secure—no damage at all. The quality is excellent, and the value for the price is great. Very satisfied with the overall experience. Smooth transaction, great service, and a product that’s totally worth it. Highly recommend and would definitely buy again. Thanks!

Not easy to use (with a dslr)
Hard work to use as viewing thru the viewfinder is very dark, you could compose your picture wiithout the filter first, but you run the risk of dropping and breaking the filter whilst trying to screw the filter in. In hindsight a drop in filter would be more useful as you could compose first then just drop the filter in to take your shot. The image quality is good and it does the job, the filter is well made and packed complete with a nice storage case to protect whilst not in use I am pleased with it.

Presentation is everything
I knew as soon as I opened the envelope I had bought a quality item. Inside the gorgeous black outer box is a round acrylic container which flips open at the press of a button. The Filter rests on its foam bed. It looks like quality, it feels like quality.Anyone that shoots video using a DSLR knows about camera settings and the limitations this creates in brightly lit environments. This can become a bigger problem if, like me, you like to shoot with the aperture wide open on a fast lens. It was almost impossible to do outside scenes on brighter days. To say I’m very pleased is an understatement.Pros:High quality, no dreaded X or aberrations and it only cost £36. I expected a lens of this quality to cost much much more.Cons:To be honest, there aren’t any. No, I can’t put the lens cap on when the filter is in place, but it’s no big deal to unscrew it and place it back in its case.I am just an amateur film maker so my word counts for nought among photographers. From a film maker’s point of view, however, this is a great bit of kit to have in your bag and for the money, you can’t go wrong.

Essential bit of kit for a videographer
I have used other variable ND filters in the past and whilst I didn't ever come across any real issues with them, I did brake my last one when dropping it in a car park!! So I bought this one having already been very impressed with the K&F square filter kit, I thought I would try them again and they haven't disappointed. I mostly use the VND filter when filming (the square kit is not ideal for filming) and in the summer it's a must-have piece of kit. The case that comes with the filter is really handy for chucking in a bag and I know it will be protected. the twisting rings are nice and chunky so its really easy to change the strength which is hand when filming. The image quality is great with no noticeable colour casting and you don't get the wired X that you can sometimes get with the cheaper VNDs.With a VND at this quality and price point, I really see no need to invest £300 in one.My only very slight gripe is that I cant use my lens hood with it and the lens cap doesn't fit as snuggly as it does on the lens, meaning I cant just leave it on.

High quality and excellent value for money
I had been recomended this by a friend and decided to give it a go. I was very impressed firstly.when opening the package. The quality of the packaging (and thereafter storage of) the filter was great. Solid and secure, fits nicely in my camera bag takes up very little space. The filter itself has a quality feel to it, both in how it screws in to your lens and how it then adjusts the ND stops. I'm by no means a professional photographer, but I am fussy!! I wont take a picture over ISO800 (Canon200d) as I feel it gets too Noisy in post production, so I am pretty particular on the quality of the image. I have to say, the results were superb stopped all the way up to ND32! I will.be investing in the ND2000 variable very soon!!This isnt the first K&F Concept product I have bought. They offer a VERY good quality product that is VERY value for money! Highly recomend

Outstanding moon pictures thanks to this filter
I used this to take photos of the moon through a very mild cloud covering using my Kowa TSN-99 spotting scope with an IPhone 15 Pro Max mounted onto the scope. I have attached "with" and "without" photographs to this review. The "without" photograph shows ghosting and is blurry, whereas the with photograph is pretty much perfect.
