Awesome frame for my needle work!
Very solid frame, well-made. Sturdy wood. I can use it on my lap or as a table top frame, and it holds my stitching well.

Bought for wife.
Bought this for my wife. She says it is easy to use. It was somewhat easy to assemble once I got it figured out. It keeps the fabric tight. The only thing is she has to continue to tighten one side of the frame to keep it in place. But that’s a minor inconvenience.

Great quality
I love this frame. The longer I work with it, the more I like it. Make sure you put your wooden nuts on the right direction for easy swiveling from front of project to the back.

Does the job but not good for delicate fabrics
The contraption has been pretty helpful, but I’m working with delicate fabric so the clamping system is a bit too rough for my project. I was hoping there would be some way to roll my fabric in to keep it pristine - otherwise I really could’ve just used an embroidery hoop. The way the clamping system works is that there is a grove in the rod which the clamps hooks onto, catching and pulling the fabric. It takes a lot of practice to get a tight and clean clamp without stretching things too much. This is the reason why parts of my fabric are all stretched now.The knobs also tighten and come loose really easily, depending on how often you flip your work to look at the front and back. Something I am also doing. I don’t mind this so much, but it took me a while to realize it after having a lot of trouble with extremely tight knobs I could not unscrew.

Love this frame!
I’ve been cross stitching my entire life, and this is my favorite frame by far. It works best for sitting on the bed, and I use a different (standing) frame if I’m sitting on the couch, but this frame has much better tension for holding the cloth tightly. I’ll probably buy another scroll frame like this to attach to my couch stand too. Highly recommend!

Just what I wanted
I had no idea that stands like this existed, so I was happy to find it. I read reviews of the various types and styles and this one seemed to be the one to get. I will update after using it more/getting used to it.

Initial impression
I'm extremely impressed with the quality of this stand. The pieces fit together well and they are nice and smooth. I need to spend some more time with it - I know I don't have all of the bolts seated into the wood all the way, so I'm hoping that takes care of my issues when I can find someone to help me with that.I really wish there was some kind of brace between the two legs to keep it from going all wonky when I try and flip the frame over to get to the back. I'm using it on my couch, not on a flat surface, so the legs don't stay in sync. I will experiment more and see if I can wrap something around the legs to keep them both together. I ordered a larger frame, too, so maybe that will help.
