Quality is second to none IMO
Delivery comes in a big flat box. Mat is different from my flimsy cutting mat from a sewing store. This cutting mat is thicker and heavier. Solid. Does not shift on my desk because its quality is supremely better than any cutting mat I’ve ever had!Grid is 24x36”Color I got is pink on one side and blue on the other side.I don’t write many reviews but this deserves it!My most favorite thing is how it’s thicker and no shifting or scooting around.Supreme cutting mat!

Mat is Awesome; Packaging not-so-good
Ok, firstly, this is a gorgeous, thick mat, double-sided and far better than any cutting mat I have seen in any of my local huge craft stores. It is also less expensive; even with big coupons, I could not get a mat this size for anything near what I paid for this mat. So five stars for that! And despite what I have read in one of the comments, there was no off-putting odor. That said, I have to mention the packaging it was shipped in. It arrived in a frame box, squished, with the mat having slunk down, curling itself on the bottom. On removal from the shipping box, the mat was decidedly wavy, like it was molded that way. I have tried to bend it back to flat, but presently have it flat on a table with heavy things on it, hoping for it to flatten out more with the pressure. It has been 24 hours and there has been improvement; I am hoping for more. I may need to sandwich it between two hot cookie sheets if pressure alone does not work. I urge the manufacturer to either put in baffles in the shipping boxes to prevent the mat slumping and curling within the box they are presently using, or better yet, just make a big cardboard envelope for it out of the sides of the boxes. It is a flat thing, after all. I will be doing just that out of the shipping box for my closet storage.Edit: Used the heated cookie sheet with heavy things on top and it worked well. Mat now flat.

Wow! I wish I had bought this years ago.
This cutting mat works great! I'm building a model of our new house using foam core board and an exacto knife to cut it. I've made hundreds of cuts and you can tell the mat has even been used. Highly recommend!

Some things I like and some things I don't
I am a quilter. While this mat isn't specifically for quilters, it is a good mat. I like the color of it and the fact that it's two sided so I can choose the side that most contrasts with my fabric color. I haven't had it long enough to decide if it wears my rotary cutter blades out faster than my old Olfa mat. What I don't like about it is that the measurements don't go to 36 inches on the long side. My old mat was made for quilters so it was a full yard long with extra space for bringing your fabric right up to the one inch line with a little space left over. This is 35 inches long with that final line right at the edge of the mat, so really when you lay a yard of fabric on it it covers all lines of the mat. The same applies to the shorter side of the mat. The quarter inch lines and eighth inch lines are on the mat and are pretty narrow. But the inch marks are wider so this can affect your cutting of small pieces if you aren't careful to be consistent in where you lay the fabric on the wider line. You really have to be careful. It's not a huge deal if you are careful in your cutting. It is heavy, much heavier than my old mat. It has a slicker surface so with small pieces you might have to deal with movement of your fabric. All those things being said, I do like it. The extra weight is good and under some circumstances the slicker surface is a bonus...like when turning a pieces of fabric to trim all 4 sides. Generally speaking I'm happy with it. I was going to buy the new mat (double sided) put out by Tula Pink but the price of that one took my breath away. I'm sure it's grand, but this one was a fraction of that price and is still very good although not perfect.

Great cutting mat, great size and price.
Guess I’ve been using this mat for a couple of years now. Spun bottom to top once now and haven’t had to flip it over to the green side yet. When it gets a bit over used I scrape the scratches with a straight blade, then use a leather hammer on the high spots. Works really good. It’s used almost every day. Recommend, if you’re not going to move it and leave it in place. Use small pieces of double sided tape 2x2 under each corner so it doesn’t slide around. All the inch and degree marks are accurate, but I don’t use them. Hope this helps someone.

24" x 36" Green & Black Cutting Mat
This is the first cutting mat I have ever used or purchased, so I have nothing really to compare it to.That being said, I find it to have a heavy and substantial feel with no rough edges, and easy to see markings. My first use of it was to cut 6 different sets of polyester bias binding from 1 yard of each colour fabric. The 45 degree lines were perfect for lining up, and afterwards I could not find any cut marks on the mat.I used it again to cut out material for 8 men's toiletry bags, and 6 cosmetic purses. Still no cut marks showing on the mat.It was delivered packed flat in a box and sheathed in clear plastic. It was not warped or bent in any way by the time I received it here in Guyana.I store it on my drawing table under a fleece blanket when not in use, since my sewing room has windows on 2 sides, and the instructions say not to leave it in direct sunlight.I am very satisfied with this purchase, and maybe I will purchase the bigger one at a later date.

Perfect
Use on my art table, like having the rules lines”built in”. Recovers well from exact o knife cutting, so far I don’t notice cuts in the pad. Substantial thickness, lays nicely.
