3.5mm jack is very fragile
I've bought two of these pedals. The thing is, when hey work, they are a godsend. I have a long pedal chain that can get quite noisy with old tube amps, and the Deci-Mate G cleans it all up. When it works, it's even worth the high price. But, as previously stated, there is a serious design flaw with he 3.5mm loop jack in that it has n support and it will break loose under the stress of a cable. When my first one broke, I tried to fix it. I screwed up the terminal desoldering it, and though I ordered several different jacks, I could never find with the right leg configuration. During that time, I also built a new Y-cable using mini right angle plugs. So, I finally just ordered another Deci-Mate G mini- pedal, and it's DOA. The last new one sat in its box for a long time until I got my board back together. So I hope I can still get it fixed under warranty.

Small footprint, lots of benefits.
This pedal is small but filled with technology! It is not only a noise gate, but it automatically determines the gate based on your pick attack and release. Really helpful with long pedal chains and distortion/gain pedals before it in the chain order.

Effects loop jack breaks easily
There is a design flaw with the 3.5mm effects loop jack: it is not mechanically secured to the PCB or chassis and is held in place only by the solder to the PCB. Solder is not meant to hold components in place, just to make electrical connections. Any stress or pressure to the jack (specifically via the cable plugged into it) will eventually cause it to separate from the board and make the pedal useless. I kept this pedal on a pedal board with the cables zip tied in place to prevent this, but it broke anyway even under light usage.

Expensive
I have owned all the hush / gate pedals in my years playing and they all seem to work good. Once you get out of the gate feeling an more to a softer threshold they work great. Rocktron were the first to really make it seamless. This pedal is great and compact but for the price I think its not worth it when you can get a boss pedal with effects loop option (just like this pedal) for under $100.If this pedal was $129 I would buy it all day but $200 no matter how much money you have is too much for what it does. Noise needs to be solve first with cables, ground lifts and all the tricks before resorting to a pedal. But most amps and effect loops soak up a lot of power supply noise, etc so these at some point are needed. If they lower the price and make their money selling more volume then I would recommend this. Otherwise get a Boss noise peal for $99.

Loop jack has a critical design flaw
I have the regular Deci-Mate, and it's fantastic in function and build quality. It's a shame that the G version doesn't live up to the same standard. As mentioned in another review, the loop jack implementation is poorly designed. I had bought one of these as a demo unit, and upon opening the box and pulling the pedal out of its bag, lo and behold, the jack was already broken. There is some kind of foam beneath it in the enclosure, but it apparently wasn't enough to keep the jack in place. This jack needs to be locked to the chassis like the other jacks, or should use a solid bracing block like the power jack has.

Garbage
Plugged it in once and the 3.5mm broke, it’s so cheaply made, the enclosure is thin and has zero grounding to the components.Mine was poorly assembled and had a plastic washer that made no sense, the power Jack was extremely crooked, it looked like a child built it.The first pedal I built looked more professionally done than this junk. Save your money and buy the normal sized decimator 2 g-string. Much higher quality, at least the one I received was.

Ground issues. Radio comes thru amp
I found by plugging/unplugging all of my pedals that it was this one that was letting the nearby radio station come thru my amp. I even found this pedal made 60 cycle hum worse in rooms with dimmer lights .For something thats suppose to stop noise, this created a lot.I even had the pedal sent back to isp after i proved to them it was their pedal. They said it was perfectly fine but they'd add another layer of shielding .. When i got it back, nothing had changed.Don't waste your money.
