Like most kids, my daughter had trouble learning to mange her emotions. I got her these books and she loves them! We've read them over and over. She knows all the little rhymes and likes to go through the exercises that teach tricks for calming down.Now when she has a tantrum, I can just calmly remind her that she can use one of the tools that she learned in these books. You know, if I really want to piss her off. She goes absolutely ballistic if I dare to mention these amazing strategies for enhanced wellbeing at a time when she would actually benefit from them.So yeah, it doesn't work like magic. Good books though.

What a great series! The way they explain emotions is simple for kids. The use of color helps the kids to compartmentalize the feelings and the terms are easy for the kids to use to explain how they are feeling.

We first got exposed to this box set from a neighbor. We borrowed them because my daughter liked them so much.I ended up buying our own set because she asks me to read her one of these every night! I have also noticed that she does apply what she has learned to real life.10/10 recommend for any parents of toddlers, especially if they enjoy reading! We also have the little plushy emotions and are starting to use those to deal with tantrums.

This set is amazing! It’s not just that the pictures are beatiful and age appropriate… but the content is for long lasting social and emotional skills. As a neuropsychologist specialized in Learning disabilities, I use these books in my practice and at home with my kids. It doesn’t just explain the feelings but also it provides examples of when you van feel them and the strategies to help you cope with them that are easy to use and apply daily. My husband and I even MODEL using the strategies at home so our kids can also use them. My 4 and 7 year olds love them. Highly recommended.

These are wonderful books for creating conversations and a safe place to learn about emotions with your child, however the rating says ages 3-7. The wording seems better suited for ages 5-7. It was not resonating with my 3-year-old so we exchanged for the same author’s “My First Feelings” and “ABC’s of Kindness” instead.

This set is fantastic, awesome kids books. Great detail, storyline, & characters, nice & easy read..great for various ages . Definitely recommend!
