The Review 1.5 years in the Making!!!
I purchased this product in May 2020 so that I could have a raised garden bed on my brand new deck, hopefully without ruining the deck. Planted tomatoes TWO seasons in a row, with what amounted to over 100 pounds of dirt (it was LARGE). I did NOT remove the planter last winter, so it had been sitting in the same spot for just over 1.5 years, filled with dirt. The only thing standing in between that moist dirt and my deck was these aeration pad deck protectors.I will start by saying that they are CRAZY sturdy and you can cut them to fit exactly the dimensions you need.....they are square and I made them work easily for a circle bed (see pics). They are very lightweight, but boy can they hold a TON of weight on top. When i decided to remove the planting bed this week, I was nervous (to say the least) at what I would find underneath. The pictures attached show that once I removed the wet soil and bed, you can see that the only moisture was around the edge of the bed!!! The deck beneath was bone dry and nearly spotless!!! I took closer up pictures to show that the deck under these was nearly identical to the rest of the deck, even after 1.5 YEARS!!I would VERY strongly endorse this product and recommend it to anyone who wants to place pots or raised beds on a deck surface. NOTE: I am NOT being paid to say this, nor was I asked. I actually never intended to write a review of this product, but once I saw these results, I felt it deserved rave reviews.

Great product seriously. Multi configurable drainage
Best thing for drainage in anything IMO.I don't care about cleaning my tent once a week though so to each their own but this was way better than buying a 2x4 or 3x4 flood table. I needed custom drainage, these offered that perfectly.NO RAEGRETS

Works as described, great under pots. a bit expensive.
They are sturdy and when I was looking for something to put under grow bags (fabric plant bags/pots), these seemed like the best product I could find that would really do the job well to aerate under the pot and protect the deck. But I did think they were a bit expensive (12 for $40). Basically doubled-my supplies budget. The 12 in square is nice for 5 gallon bags, but I have some wider bags that are 10 gallons and i think 16 in. in diameter. This required me to cut the squares in half (easy to do with big scissors) and use one square and two halves to make sure the whole bag with lifted off the porch.I think possibly, one square has slightly damaged the finish/paint on the porch. One of the plant bags I set-up is quite heavy and requires periodic rotation. I think maybe the scraping on the porch has chipped the finish/paint off underneath it. I am not sure I would blame the deck protector exclusively -- I think the finish on the deck is a bit old and needs to be redone anyway and the soil I put in that bag is super dense and thus really heavy -- but it happened, so it's worth noting. The deck might be replaced soon with composite/plastic decking. In which case, I think these squares would be extra useful since they are made of polypropylene (and allowed material apparently) that will hopefully prevent scratching/damaging the new decking apparently. They should be easy to store in the winter when I don't need them and then I can pull them out again for next season. I expect that they will last a very long time.

Just received a pack of 12. Seemed a bit pricy but I have already reordered another pack of 12! The quality seems very good, and the usefulness of the product was already proven as I was able to slide my cubes across the deck. I am so pleased to raise my cubes off the deck and give them air and less complications with undersurface. Also, the customer service by the seller was excellent, as well as speed of delivery.

Just what I wanted!
Ordered 2 dozen !st,then another dozen.I just placed another order for 2 dozen more. These are just what I wanted and needed.Perfect for any hard surface especially wooden decks.I`m using the cloth pots by Smart Pots. These are round but these protectors still work well.I may even trim some of them to fit smaller pots I have. This company has a square pot and the colorful inserts that they send are very helpful.Very glad I found these!

Better than expected. Great value.
I was pleasantly surprised when I got the items. To be honest it was exactly as advertised I was just pleasantly surprised when I got a closer look at them. I’m using them under fabric pots and was skeptical that it would work well enough under the 5 gallon smart pots with big heavy plants in them. These allow more airflow than I was anticipating and are plenty strong which is a all great! I would certainly buy more if the need arises. Great value. I haven’t had them long but I can already tell it’s going toexceed my expectations. Also it arrived quite quickly. Cheers.

Works well but small
Wish they were a little longer. Keeps fabric planters off deck and helps keep stain free. Satisfied would purchase again.

Does as intended
So for what this is, it is definitely more expensive then it needs to be, but I knew that prior to purchase but i needed it for its size and to go under a large fabric pot.As far as how the product works. Its good.its doing what i need of it. I have a 30 gallon fabric pot, with a 5ft high 4x4 dragon fruit trellis. Bottom 1/2 of soil is heavier soil to keep the trellis in place incase theres every real strong wind. So theres alot of weight but this is doing what it is indtended to do and keeping the pot barely off the ground.
