Functional
Keeping on hand in the event of emergency. This operated perfectly when we had to move my ailing mother. Easy to move her.

Strong item
I ordered this for my grandmother who cannot adjust her self very easily in the bed. We have this set up for emergencies if we need to get her out of the bed quickly or move her out of the house. Everything feels very strong and we have had no issues with it.

When the time comes to need something like this, this pad is a God-send.
I have been helping my sister care for her husband who has a deteriorating disease (Parkinsons). He has physical ups and downs, but during the downs – it can feel back-breaking getting him positioned in bed. I got this pad to help him get positioned more easily, and it is saving our backs and our sanity. This is a quality pad. It is thick, slides easily, and is heavily reinforced – along all the side seams, all the handles, and all the multiple straps in vertical, horizontal, and diagonal reinforcements on the back of it. It will be virtually impossible to tear this thing. It is large enough to support my brother-in-law from under his head to his heels. It rolls easily to tuck it under to unroll it under him, and when it’s time to come out - to roll it under him to pull it back out so that it doesn’t stay under him when he is sleeping. My sister and I can manage this pad easily. She can also use it by herself if she needs to. Before this pad, she was really struggling. The nurse aid that comes out a couple times a week saw it and said this is a good one. She was impressed. She also told us that if he should fall (heaven forbid!) this can be used to put under him (as long as he isn’t injured) and slide him over to a chair or sofa or bed to help him get back up.It’s sad to have a loved-one get to a point where something like this pad is necessary. But having this pad really is a God-send. I would recommend it. There are cheaper versions out there, but the size and quality of this one is worth every penny.
