CRAFTSMAN Automotive Gasket Scraper (CMMT98354)

Good replacement for the one I had for 20 years.

As with all Craftsman tools it's great. So much better than the light weight I already have.

Good quality, multiple use scraper.

I put this to good use on several projects of the last two weeks. I performed very will and did an excellent job of removing all different types of gasket material.

I needed a general purpose scrapper and this fits that purpose well. I don't like using my gasket scrappers for everyday taskes. This calls its self a gasket scrapper but the finish is way to rough, it will definitely leave gouges in aluminum. If your willing to spend some time working it on a hone I'm sure you could get a nice smooth edge on it, but it fits my needs as is. Handle is nice and comfortable and the lifetime warranty is a plus.

I spent a little more money to get the Craftsman counting on better quality and better steel. From the moment I opened the package I was disappointed, it does not look like an edge was ever put on it and what is there is crooked and dull. This edge this would damage a gasket surface, it looks drop forged to me. I do not expect to have to put an edge on a brand new tool. I will be returning this.
