Spectacular quality and customer service
First it Monstrum customer service is amazing! I bought a PM3E 3x prism scope early March. Looked great zeroed great, after my 3rd trip to shoot I noticed a blemish on the prism inside the scope. Contacted monstrum explained the situation. I was offered half refund or free replacement with their paying the shipping. New scope within a week of shipping. Great product. Great customer service. They have way upped their game in the past couple of years. I look for these guys to be just like vortex in the coming years. Get in now while the price is still amazing. You’ll be kicking yourself in a few years when you see these on the shelves in your favorite gun store at triple the price they are now.

Good solid optic w/ weight discrepancy
A good solid optic for the price.Simple controls. Press + or - to turn on, hold - to turn off, hold + to change color and increase/decrease illumination with +/- respectively. There are 11 illumination levels and brightness settings are saved to memory. Your optic will go into "sleep mode" after 10 minutes of no movement. It will fully shut down after 2 hours.Mounting is also very simple. Built in mounting system which mounts on picatinny style rails. A T15 torx wrench is needed for installation and it's included with the package. Documentation calls for hand tight and then a 1/4 turn or approximately 30 in-lbs.Sight adjustment is, again, simply done. It's 1/2 MOA windage and elevation adjustments which are located on top and side of the body. Top dial is for elevation and side dial is for windage. The documentation do give simple instructions on dialing in your sights which is helpful for any new shooters.Weight claims. I weighed it with my scale at 330g (11.6oz) but they claim it's 289g in the documents included. That's a substantial difference. The listing says it's 23% lighter than their previous generation prism scope and I assume they are talking about the Marksman G2 model. The Marksman G2 model is listed as 326g (11.5oz) on Amazon but 311g (11oz) on Monstrum's website. Either way, this one is heavier than both of those claims so obviously it's not 23% lighter based on those claims and what mine weighs. They claim this one is 27% shorter than previous generation models, again assuming G2 model, I have no idea how it stacks up because I do not own the G2 and they don't have a height measurement anywhere. They do have the G2 listed as 4" in length, and the G3 is listed as 4.2" in length. I measured the body of the G3 at exactly 4" but if you include the mount, it's roughly 4.2" so that's about right. Some pros:- Very solid build- Shake Awake- Prism type optic (helps with my astigmatism)- Etched circle dot reticle (works without batteries)- Water and fog proof- Red and green illumination- Full lifetime warranty (I have owned a handful of Monstrum optics, and I do have experience with their warranty process. They sent me a replacement scope with no questions asked.)Some cons:- Eye relief could be better- No caps for lenses- Listing/documentation seem to fudge some numbers a little.Overall, I really like it. I don't mind the weight but it is worth making a note of it. I gave it 4/5 stars for eye relief, no caps and misrepresenting the product specs.

Heavy
Arrived with a dead battery. I will have to check for a battery drain. This thing is way overbuilt. 2X the weight of a Primary Arms prism but also 1/4 the cost. Clear enough. I have it mounted on a S&W 15-22.

Defective lens, has bubbles
I know I was ordering a used item, but common - there has to be some quality control of you're listing a used item. Mine came with a dead main battery, which wouldn't be a problem because there's a brand new one in the package, but the main beef is the prism lens is damaged, as you can see in the picture. Why would you even list this defective product as used?

Quality Optic!
This sight is pretty awesome! I can really appreciate the fact that rarely would you need to power it on. So far I've only turned it on once, just to see if it worked. The reticle being etched in the glass is genius. I'm considering one of the other models for another rifles... So far, so good!

Nice quality optic
Looking for a quality optic that doesn't break the bank? This might be it. So far I'm impressed by this scope. Has a nominal 3X magnification that helps you zero in on mid-range targets quickly. First time using one with an etched in reticle that can be used even when not turned on which is kind of cool. When on it is crisp and bright. The DX1 option is interesting too. Basically a square shape with rounded corners and a dot in the middle. Not sure if I like it any better than a circle or just dot, probably need more use to tell but nice to try something a little different. The design and looks of this unit are good too. Mounted it to a PC Charger and it looks great. Easy to sight in. The caps screw off and have a nub on top that you just flip over and turn the adjusters with. No extra tools necessary, so easy to make small adjustments at the range if needed. Love that is has an auto off feature to prevent battery drain as I often forget to turn these things off. Also that it has shake awake. Just makes the thing a lot easier to use without any hassle. Can't beat that it has a lifetime warranty, so the company seems to stand behind their product. The only small gripe that I can come up with is that it is not rechargeable like many have started doing. Has the button battery. But overall can definitely recommend.
