10 Frame Langstroth Beehive Medium Super Box Painted Not Includes Wooden Frames & Waxed Foundations (Unassembled)

I started a hive this year and am needing more supers. This super is good quality pine that comes pre painted. The viewing window is a nice touch. This does NOT Come with frames or foundation so plan accordingly! Assembly was easy and took about 5 min.

The hand cuts are nice and the little window blocker locks in securely with the side tabs. It was no harder to assemble than any standard super. It is just the box, no frames, but when you need a super, you need a super! You can use it as is or paint it with fun designs. Really great quality wood!

This 10-frame Langstroth medium super box is a solid addition to my beekeeping setup! The box feels sturdy and fits perfectly with my other hive equipment. My bees took to it right away, and I’m happy with the overall quality. However, I took off one star because the wood comes unfinished, so it needs painting or waxing before use, which adds some prep time. Also, there weren’t any instructions included for assembly, which would have been helpful. The screws provided seem adequate, though I’m not sure how they’ll hold up long term. All in all, a great box for beekeepers who don’t mind a bit of DIY!

This was shipped in a bubble wrap envelope inside a box, so no damage in transit. The wood is fairly soft, finish (paint) is pretty thick, but a bit rough in places. Husband drilled the pilot holes a little bit bigger and drilled to countersink the screw heads, and he used wood glue when assembling. A major concern is one piece had a long crack in it, and it got much worse once it was attached to the side piece, thus I didn't feel I could give it 4 stars, would have given 3.5 if that was an option. We like that is has the viewing window, obviously we know we will only be able to see what is being done right at the window, but that is still pretty cool if they end up working that part of the comb. I do anticipate the plexiglass yellowing over time, so we'll replace if/when needed. We tested the fit of super frames in the box and they fit fine. I hope if it gets filled with honey it won't be so heavy that the crack causes the box to break when lifted. Overall, besides the long crack, it's a decent bee super, but not a high-quality item.

Be aware no frames at all! Very confusing, ordered exactly same boxes in the past and they came with the frames, this time no frames and description was changed, don’t get caught to this rip off scam

We are very happy with this addition to our beehives so the grandkids could actually look through the window and see what is going on versus telling them.Like to use a weighted rubber mallet, we assemble these And I think I’m gonna let my grandkids paint two of these so that they feel it’s more they’re hive So they can better appreciate all the work that the honeybees do

These are good boxes and a great value for the price. They went together well with no problems putting it together. Overall, a great add.

This medium super box has clear instructions on how to assemble, a nice thick wax coating and overall appears to be a really good quality box for your hive.The paint is applied well. An attractive and functional bee box.5 stars
