Affordably priced rack that will keep you safe and give you a few extras.
For the price I paid, this power rack is great quality. The assembly was enjoyable. The accessories and equipment are what I remember needing for a decent workout at my high school gym - and then more. The whole power rack is pretty solid. I don't doubt it can hold the 300 to 500 lbs. that I need it to, since I am just getting back into lifting. I do think there could be more stability side-to-side, but it is nothing I am worried about. The metal is powder-coated and some coating was missing around the edges of a couple pieces due to shipping.Assembling the power rack took me most of a day, but I am not practiced at assembling things. And it was somewhat enjoyable even for a novice because the instructions are clear and divided clearly by steps, with the hardware for each step plainly labeled so there is no guessing which bolts you need to grab. It comes with two flat crescent wrench tools which are great if you don't have tools of your own. I recommend a drill or driver with a 17mm socket to speed things up, just don't overtighten because the metal will start to bend.I love the fact that the kit I bought came with a lat-pulldown bar, a smaller flat bar, tricep pushdown rope attachment, and two D-handles with an ankle strap for flies and rows. It even came with dip handles for added tricep work or core workouts. I did not expect (probably because I wasn't shopping for it) a landmine attachment or a barbell holder. All of the extras were appreciated and make me glad I purchased this power rack. Here is my main criticism and my solution for it, so far. Upon trying out the barbell squat, I went to get under the bar and found myself almost touching the cable pulley assembly with my nose. I could get the bar without touching my nose, but I felt like it was too close. So for now, I switched the J-hooks to the rear bar and I will do squats facing backwards. The second criticism I have is that all of the accessories hanging from the hooks around the outside of the cage get in the way of my barbell. I will be removing most of the hooks and accessories to put them either on my wall or in a container on the floor. To sum it up, I simply wanted a power rack to perform squats and bench press safely without a spotter. I am definitely satisfied it will fulfill my purposes. And now I have the added core, arm, and back workout flexibility I wouldn't normally get with a home gym setup.

It’s exactly what I expected
After doing a good bit of research on the best price power rack for the size that would fit in my garage, but not be too narrow, this was the one that I ended up purchasing. The shipping came in a very reasonable time for the size of the boxes and it came in two boxes as they advised. Thankfully, unlike some of the other reviews that I read, I did not have any missing parts that were not included, and another thing that I read quite a bit of was that the instructions were not clear. I’m not sure if they change the instructions somewhere along the way, but the instruction Assembly booklet that was included had plenty of detail and did not confuse me at all. It took me a total of 3.5 hours from the time that I opened the boxes to cleaning up the mess from the trash. So far, I really like what I see and it comes with a good amount of accessories. The only thing I could possibly say as a negative is that when tightening some of the bolts on the frame, I must have overtaken them by hand because it started to bend the metal inward. Not enough where I believe in compromise the metal at all, but if it were a thicker metal that the frame was made out of then it would not likely do that. I still think everything is good to go.

Great Value for the Money
I switched from a Rogue Fitness wall mounted folding rack in my garage and wanted to move into the basement with something freestanding. I read the reviews of this rack and decided to give it a try. Here are my impressions upon unboxing:1. Packaging - came in three boxes which were pretty heavy. I was able to move them myself but help would definitely make the job easier because of the length of the two bigger boxes. All equipment was accounted for and undamaged.2. Equipment Quality - I would say this rack is EXACTLY what I expected it to be. Compared to the Rogue fitness rig I was coming from, the metal thickness/weight felt to be about 50-70% that of rogue. I knew this would not be as heavy duty as a Rogue Fitness build (3x3 11 gauge steel uprights), but I also think that I don’t need the J-cups and spotter arms to hold more than 500lbs MAX for any of my lifts. This rig is advertised as having a weight bearing capacity of 1600lbs, but I can’t nor would I recommend attempting to test that based on the feel of the rig.The welds look sloppy, but all seemed adequate to hold as required. All plastic parts/hardware/accessories were accounted for and free of damage.Overall, quality of the product is about exactly what I expected or maybe SLIGHTLY less than expected, for the price.3. Assembly - the instruction/video were very straightforward. Assembly was time consuming but simple. A second set of hands can help when stabilizing the uprights, chin-up bar, or top cross members when building, but other than that it’s really a solo job.Pay attention to directionality for some of the uprights/crossmembers. I installed two backwards and cost myself some time. The cable will install WITHOUT removing the stopper ball (in fact, it cannot be removed). When installing the long single cable, you must run it all the way through the rig without the plastic pulleys installed. Once the cable is threaded entirely through the rig, then install the pulleys and bolt them in place.4. Accessories - The accessories, like the rest of the rig, felt adequate, and about what I would expect for the price point. However, all of the bars, spotter arms, and J Cups feel very light in comparison to my rogue fitness rack. Again, I expected that going into this purchase, but I am still a little surprised with how different they feel. But the pieces seem adequate to get the job done, stressing again that my personal use with moderate weight will likely not be enough to stress this equipment to its compromise point. At least, that is my theory. I plan on continuing this review once I get some workouts under my belt.5. Overall-without actually using this equipment yet, I rate it at four stars. Five stars would have been equivalent to my rogue fitness monster light wall mount system in quality. Again, I was not expecting rogue fitness quality out of this due to the lower price point. For an individual who is not going to bench or squat over 500 pounds, I feel this set up is safe and effective for the use. It would get out of one or two people in a household using the equipment on a daily or semi-daily basis. I think this equipment appears to be a great value for the price given all of the accessories, and the pulley system that come with the package. Very happy with this so far and I’m excited to use it and put it through some pieces to see how it will hold up under actual stress.6. Actual UseI have been using the rack for about 4 workouts now. It has held up great. The pulley system has worked fantastically and is my favorite part of the setup. Very smooth, but I may try lubricating the wight sled poles to see if that makes a difference. The dip bars move slightly when in use, but not to the point they feel unsafe. Not sure what the weight capacity is, but I would be nervous about going over 240 or so pounds.J cups work but are only flat and angled up. There is no lip at the end to catch your bar. I prefer j cups with a lip as I can rest the bar in its final position before removing. These still do the job, but that is a feature I miss. The spotter bars feel solid and capable of handling my weight should I fail. The spotter arms feel much less so (understandably) and wiggle slightly when in place as they are not exactly flush against the upright. The band pegs work as advertised. All the attachment, while feeling very light worked great and did everything I expected.Again, VERY happy with the equipment so far. Next test will be durability to see how it holds up in the next 3-6 months.
