You need to buy a proprietary writer tool separately for another $45 to use this device.Additionally, this ring is so incredibly thick. I have no idea how anyone would ever use this every day.

This ring works okay, but you will probably need to take it off to get it to read on a modern reader, which makes it less than convenient. Also both of the 125khz chips are locked with different passwords which is annoying. You can find those passwords in the manual online, and they are in the list of default passwords in proxmark3's code, but for some reason (at least in my case) it didn't detect a successful password when I used the automated script. At the end of the day, it's a fun little gadget, but I wish it was easier to read while on my finger. Last but not least, the sizes run small so definitely go up a size when you purchase. I ended up having to purchase two because of mis-sizing.

While i agree with some of the reviews against the size/thickness of the ring. It actually works really well. There's 4 places on the ring that can easily be picked up by NFC. Writing tags to the ring is also really easy with FREE apps available for Android like "NFC Tools". On the side of the ring, there are 4 markings to denote what tag you're using. If your tag is written on 4, then 4 is the side that needs to be touched to the device.

Ring is way too big to wear. Extremely bulky. Do not recommend to buy. Would give 0 stars if able.

Pros:- The NFC chips seem to work out of the box, and are easy to write to and read.- The website has mostly clear instructions on how to use it.- Item feels solid and well made from a look & sturdiness standpoint.Cons:- The listing options should use the ring size, rather than these useless "S", "M", & "L" sizes. For anyone curious, "L" is about a size 12-12.5 ring. I know the detail section has a bit more, but saying that large fits a 63mm ring diameter or longer, isn't exactly clear. Unless the ring size can be adjusted, there is no "X & smaller" or "Y & bigger" size.- Whoever programmed these things, should be fired. The T5577 chips aren't writeable out of the box. I had to use the password from the product website, to remove the password lock on the chip, then I was able to write to it normally. Not something that I'd expect less techy users to know how to do, and I can't think of a good reason for it to come with a password enabled by default. In case the website goes down and someone needs them in the future, here are the current passwords: ID1 = "5469616E" & ID2 = "51243648".- I could only get one of the T5577 chips to work. I get no reaction from the other one, as if it doesn't exist at all.- There isn't 128GB storage space on the ring. False advertising.If I didn't miss the return window, I would have returned it. Too many advertised features are problematic or don't work, to justify the high price of the item. Also, a bigger ring size would be nice; the "L" only fits on my smallest finger.

I understand the negative reviews, especially regarding some features and the app's functionality. However, for my needs—just a wedding ring and an access card for my door access systems—this ring is perfect.
