QUALITY ITEM....
The wood ruler that I've had for 30+ years disappeared on the jobsite. Needed an exact replacement, that's what I received. Highly Recommended/Very Durable....

Good but not same as older one
Have an older one of these and figured i would get a second on shop since it's such a useful tool. Like the older one better, for all it's use it is more "uniform" and better constructed.If you look at photo my fingertip shows a metal "tenon" , (in the old one) that comes through from the other side of the metal rotating mechanism. There is also a metal pin just past that. The newer one only has what appears to be a rivet. Due to this I don't think the newer one will last near as long,band it does not have the same feel in the movement. To bad ,seems like a phenomenal quality product is now just a good quality product.

Does it's job
Does exactly what it is supposed to do. I use it for measuring wider windows and things like that when a yard stick is not long enough, and the tape measure is too long so it collapses. It's perfect when you are working by yourself and don't have another person to hold up the other end of the tape measure in an elevated position.

depth guage not to scale, Replacedment unit ok.
Replacement did not have the depth gauge defect. added a star, good price, great for the price, I would recommend, be ready possible replacement needed. The first inch of the brass depth gauge is ~ 1/16" short.Checking a few of the 1 in. marks beyond and on the wood seem better.not being to scale, whether by design, quality or manufacture defect, makes depth gauge disappointing.probably an ok ruler if you do not need the depth gauge at the price when purchased.
